Welcome to the 3rd Edition of Sound of Italy, an Italian Song Festival organised by 50&piu’ Australia Incorporated.
Our aim is to promote and enhance the rich Italian culture, through music and song in Western Australia.
The competition seeks to identify amateur artists with a passion for music and singing.
Contestants, comprising of juniors (ages 8-15) from any background, are invited to apply for an audition.
After the audition, a group of contestant shall be selected, comprising of 12 junior contestant.
The requirement is to sing one Italian song on the night of our competition, (Friday 8th November 2024).
Your performance shall be judged by an independent panel of qualified and experienced adjudicators with significant prizes on offer.

RULES AND REGULATIONS
- The Competition is open to age group in one categorie: From ages 8 to 15 years. All candidates must take part in the auditions on the date, place and time yet to be decided. Details shall be advised in advance by e-mail, telephone call and text message.
- Participants attending the auditions are advised that travel and all associated expenses are fully borne by the competitors and non-refundable.
- When attending the audition, competitors must present a valid ID and the backing track (s) saved on a USB stick. Additionally, the audio tracks must be received in digital format via email to: auditions@soundofitaly.com.au 10 days before the audition
- All songs must be sung in Italian
- Songs, lasting no more than six minutes, must be performed live and accompanied by the music provided by each contestant . At the end of the auditions, the Musical Director shall choose the contestants, according to the interpretative skills, voice quality and the originality of the proposals.
- The list of contestants will be published on the 50 & Più Australia Incorporated Facebook page & on our website .
- The Competition will take place in November 2024.
- An independent panel of qualified and experienced adjudicators, under the guidance of the Musical Director, shall rate each contestant from both categories accordingly.
